Responsibilities

• Travel to sites within the South West and wider South Area
• Install steel structures and digital advertising screens
• Perform hand and machine excavations for concrete foundations and underground ducting
• Survey for underground apparatus and use safe excavation techniques
• Read technical drawings and set out to line and level
• Cast mass concrete and steel foundations
• Complete groundworks using surfacing materials like slabs, pavers, tarmac, or floated concrete
• Manage workload within agreed timescales
• Maintain a safe site in accordance with Construction Phase Plans and RAMS
• Operate machinery such as CAT and Jenny

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in excavation works involving Utilities
• NRSWA qualification
• Knowledge of Traffic Management and correct procedures
• Understanding of Construction Design and Management regulations 2015
• Experience working at height (step ladders, tower scaffolding, MEMPs)
• Proficiency with power tools (hydraulic breakers, disc saws, grinding wheels)
• Competency in identifying underground services using CAT scanning
• Knowledge of HSG47 and Streetworks UK/NJUG

Preferred Qualifications

• EUSR Utility Excavations 1-5 I training
• SSSTS training
