Groundworker Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Work towards a Level 2 Groundworker Apprenticeship qualification
• Assist the Natural Resources team on the South West Water framework
• Apply principles of health, safety, welfare, and environmentally responsible work practices
• Learn to use various technologies and systems of work appropriate to civil engineering and construction
• Understand modern and traditional construction methods and their environmental impacts
• Learn techniques for handling and moving loads manually and with mechanical aids
• Assist in guiding the movement of plant and machinery using hand signals and communication equipment

Requirements

• GCSE English or Level 2 equivalent
• GCSE Maths or Level 2 equivalent
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to develop customer relationships and build confidence
