Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Maintain outdoor spaces including lawns, gardens, orchards, and landscape features
• Perform snow removal using snowplow trucks, shovels, or snow blowers
• Manage plant life through weeding, watering, pruning, and soil maintenance
• Conduct orchard maintenance including pruning trees and sorting fruit
• Perform minor building repairs such as painting, patching walls, and fixing minor plumbing or electrical issues
• Maintain equipment and machinery, including cleaning and reporting problems
• Perform cleaning tasks such as window cleaning, floor maintenance, and kitchen grease trap cleaning
• Operate trucks or tractors for grounds maintenance and supply transport

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of general maintenance experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in garden work
• Valid class G driver’s license
• Knowledge of building construction or related trades
• Knowledge of horticultural maintenance and soil management

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience
• Experience working in an orchard
• Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
