Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain all athletic fields in optimal condition through mowing, irrigation, aerating, fertilizing, and marking
• Perform general upkeep of athletic facilities to ensure they are ready for educational use
• Operate and maintain athletic department equipment, including tractors, mowers, and weed eaters
• Manage cleanup activities following athletic contests
• Work evenings and weekends as required to support scheduled athletic events
• Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for students and staff

Requirements

• Three years of experience in mowing, trimming, and pruning
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clear driving record
• Proficiency in operating edgers, string trimmers, push mowers, and riding mowers
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including heavy lifting, walking, standing, and climbing
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and dust
