Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Clears debris and maintains drives, walkways, and lawns
• Cuts grass, trims around trees, and performs snow removal
• Assists in opening and closing graves and performing interments, entombments, and inurnments
• Sets up graveside ceremony equipment including tents, canopies, and chairs
• Installs headstones, bronze memorials, and crypt faces
• Operates small motorized equipment and potentially backhoes or casket lifts under supervision
• Maintains, services, and cleans equipment and facilities
• Ensures compliance with safety rules and OSHA regulations

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience operating small motorized equipment
• Valid and current driver's license with a safe driving record
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs independently and 150 lbs with assistance
• Ability to push and pull up to 300 lbs
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods
