Groundskeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain university landscaping, grounds, and athletic fields to ensure a safe and attractive campus environment
• Operate heavy grounds equipment including skid steer loaders, snow plows, tractors, utility vehicles, and forklifts
• Perform seasonal tasks such as mowing, weeding, planting, mulching, and raking leaves
• Execute snow and ice removal from university properties using various equipment and chemical melters
• Maintain parking lots, streets, and walkways by cleaning debris, patching potholes, and removing litter
• Assist with campus decorations, banners, and seasonal event setup
• Perform minor repairs to grounds equipment and provide support for various university facilities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid PA driver’s license
• Ability to operate heavy grounds equipment and power tools
• Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
• Availability for emergency snow removal, including early morning or late night hours
• Ability to meet vision and physical exam requirements for operating large dump trucks
