Grounds Worker

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus grounds through seasonal tasks including mowing, seeding, fertilizing, and irrigation management
• Perform winter maintenance such as snow and ice removal from parking lots and sidewalks using plows, blowers, and shovels
• Operate a variety of heavy machinery and power tools, including loaders, backhoes, skid-steers, and tractors
• Assist with basic construction and repair tasks, including ditch digging, road repair, and fence installation
• Manage campus cleanliness by picking up trash and maintaining organized storage areas
• Support campus operations by moving furniture, setting up facilities for special events, and performing deliveries
• Follow all established health and safety procedures, including the proper handling of chemicals and pesticides
• Train and direct the activities of seasonal staff members

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of related experience in grounds maintenance or a similar field
• Valid NH driver’s license
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery
• Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work overtime, weekends for school events, and emergency call-ins for snow/ice events
