Ground Support Equipment Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Use conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to diagnose malfunctions
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including servicing with fuel, oil, water, and hydraulic fluid
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reinstall GSE components and accessories
• Perform corrosion control, which may include work in an enclosed blast/paint booth using forced air respiration devices
• Document all maintenance actions and maintain accurate paper and electronic equipment records
• Handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations
• Operate, clean, and inspect GSE towing vehicles and practice strict tool control and safety protocols

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for facility credentials and authorization
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working on Automotive or Mobile Equipment
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, bending, and stooping
• Ability to pass a medical examination for respirator use, corrosion control, and blasting
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) following a 7-year background check
• Ability to possess and maintain a required toolset within 30 days of hire
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Military Aviation Support Equipment
• Prior experience as a GSE operator
