Grooming Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the grooming salon and manage inventory levels
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of grooming staff
• Create and manage efficient grooming schedules to optimize salon capacity
• Monitor salon performance metrics including revenue and customer satisfaction
• Perform expert-level grooming services including bathing, styling, and nail trimming
• Interact with pet parents to provide recommendations and resolve concerns
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in the salon
• Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming environment in adherence to hygiene policies

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience as a professional groomer
• 1-2 years of previous salon management or related leadership experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of dog breeds, grooming requirements, and behaviors
• Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and styling techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work full time (minimum 35 hours per week) including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a technical grooming training program
• High-school diploma or GED
