Grooming Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of grooming staff ranging from trainees to professionals
• Perform expert-level grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Monitor salon performance metrics including revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering personalized grooming recommendations
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets by maintaining strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards
• Coach and develop team members to foster professional growth and continuous learning

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming standards, and breed-specific cuts
• Strong leadership skills with a desire to train and develop others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with pet parents and team members
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Availability to work full-time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in salon management or a related leadership role
• High school diploma or GED
