Grooming Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of grooming staff ranging from entry-level trainees to professionals
• Perform expert-level grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Monitor salon performance metrics including revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering personalized grooming recommendations
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in the salon by monitoring for discomfort or illness
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by disinfecting tools and adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation policies

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming standards, and styling techniques
• Strong leadership skills with a desire to coach and develop team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with pet parents and staff
• Ability to work a full-time schedule (minimum 35 hours per week), including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in salon management or a related leadership role
• High-school diploma or GED
