Grooming Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of grooming staff ranging from entry-level trainees to professionals
• Perform expert-level grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Monitor salon performance metrics including revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering grooming recommendations, and resolving concerns
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in the salon by monitoring for discomfort or illness
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by disinfecting tools and adhering to hygiene and sanitation policies

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience as a professional groomer or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Strong leadership skills with a desire to coach and develop team members
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements, and common health issues
• Expert-level proficiency in breed-specific cuts and styling techniques
• Ability to work full-time (minimum 35 hours per week), including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with pet parents and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous experience in salon management or a related leadership field
• High-school diploma or GED
