Grooming Salon Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and staffing plans
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of grooming staff ranging from entry-level trainees to professionals
• Perform expert-level grooming services such as bathing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Monitor salon performance metrics including revenue, customer satisfaction, and productivity
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering personalized grooming recommendations
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets by monitoring for discomfort or illness and maintaining strict hygiene and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with store management to achieve sales targets and drive salon growth

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Strong leadership skills with a desire to coach and develop team members
• Expert knowledge of dog breeds, grooming standards, and breed-specific styling techniques
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with pet parents and staff
• Availability to work full-time (minimum 35 hours per week), including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of previous salon management or related leadership experience
• High-school diploma or GED
