Grooming Salon Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead daily grooming salon operations, including scheduling, safety checklists, and salon audits
• Manage and grow the salon business by engaging with customers, scheduling appointments, and driving salon growth initiatives
• Hire, onboard, and mentor new Groomers and Groom Technicians, ensuring all training requirements are met
• Provide professional grooming services for dogs using advanced knowledge of canine characteristics and styles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals by inspecting for parasites, disease, or injury
• Maintain strict safety and sanitization protocols for all grooming tools, equipment, and facilities
• Maintain accurate records of pet clients, including services provided and vaccination records

Requirements

• 2+ years of pet grooming experience under the leadership of a professional groomer
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must provide your own grooming tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing to purchase them
• Ability to lift and move animals, equipment, and merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
• Experience working with both dogs and cats
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and perform repetitive physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a salon environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues with customers and team members
• Proficiency with basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling
