Groom Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning
• Utilize basic clipper and finishing techniques for various coat types
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals through safe handling practices
• Inspect animals for external signs of parasites, disease, or injury and report findings to owners
• Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by following strict safety and sanitization protocols for all tools and equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with pet owners and advising on products or services
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying vaccinations, and maintaining client records

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Level 1 Paragon Training certification through Petsense
• Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion for animals
• Must provide your own grooming tools (clippers, blades, shears) or be willing to purchase them
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift/move animals or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
