Grocery and Housekeeping Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist Floor Supervisors in managing grocery merchandising, housekeeping, and general store operations
• Oversee the receiving, unloading, and stocking of merchandise while verifying invoices for accuracy
• Maintain store cleanliness by performing sanitizing procedures in sales floors, restrooms, and eating areas
• Manage product rotation, pull expired items, and assist with inventory tasks
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service and handle complaints professionally
• Perform opening and closing duties, including acting as the primary manager-on-duty for Sunday shifts
• Supervise student employees to ensure they remain on task and adhere to store standards
• Monitor equipment functionality and follow safety protocols for spills or hazards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs with relative ease
• Strong mathematical skills for verifying vendor invoice charges and counts
• Proficiency in English for reading policies, writing reports, and communicating with customers
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and climb ladders as needed
• An expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, specifically in merchandising or inventory management
