Grinder

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain up to two precision grinding or machining systems, including ancillary automation, auto gages, and wash equipment
• Perform setups ranging from basic to advanced to meet quality and productivity standards
• Conduct in-process inspections using calibrated gages such as Etalon Micrometers and profilometers
• Perform minor machine maintenance, including planned operator and preventive maintenance
• Maintain a safe and clean work area following 6S standards
• Monitor and maintain the Henry System, including changing paper and checking fluid levels
• Document and communicate effectively to ensure efficient coordination between shifts and departments
• Recognize and report machine, material, or tool problems to supervisors or engineers

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Proficiency in shop mathematics
• Experience setting up inspection gages
• Ability to perform machine maintenance
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
