Grille Cashier/Expo

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and process various payment types including credit, mobile pay, and declining balance.
• Assist kitchen staff in organizing and packaging orders according to guest tickets.
• Ensure food items meet quality standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area by wiping tables, restocking condiments, and taking out trash.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and Middlebury College Dining Service policies.
• Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Middlebury College.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass SERVsafe training and testing within 14 days of hiring.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred but not required.
