GRC Engineer

About the Company

Zania is building agentic AI for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to solve the massive problem of legacy systems and manual workflows. Funded by Tier 1 venture capital including NEA, Anthropic, and Menlo Ventures, Zania is scaling rapidly to automate complex risk and compliance workflows for the world's most notable enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Set explicit, measurable success goals with customers at the start of every engagement
• Lead end-to-end onboarding and deployment for enterprise customers from scoping to go-live
• Serve as the primary GRC authority in technical conversations with CISOs and VP of Risk
• Transition successful customers to a steady-state monitoring cadence
• Synthesize customer feedback into structured, prioritized product insights for the engineering team
• Build implementation playbooks, including processes, templates, and success metrics
• Partner with sales on technical discovery and proof-of-concept engagements

Requirements

• 3–8 years of experience in GRC, information security compliance, risk management, audit, or enterprise customer success
• Deep working knowledge of at least two major frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, FedRAMP, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS)
• Proven ability to project manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise engagements
• Experience owning relationships with senior security and risk stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical workshops and product briefs
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Business, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
