Graphic Designer I

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and produce a wide variety of marketing materials including ads, brochures, invitations, posters, booklets, and flyers
• Create visual assets such as program logos, marks, infographics, digital ads, social media graphics, and electronic newsletters
• Design and produce environmental graphics including banners, window graphics, signage, and billboards
• Manage projects from intake to completion, including coordinating with clients, managing schedules, and overseeing vendor RFQs
• Assist with photography needs, including on-location and in-studio coordination and art direction for photoshoots
• Support brand management by reviewing proofs and ensuring all designs adhere to university brand standards and style guides
• Coordinate the printing production process, including writing specifications and inspecting proofs for quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
• 3–5 years of professional design and production experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
• Strong knowledge of typography and color theory
• Experience with printing processes and production requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education marketing design
