About the role
Responsibilities
- Create social media posts and simple motion graphics for NYC Votes channels
- Format text layouts, statistical graphs, and infographics
- Lay out emails for the regular subscriber list
- Collaborate with designers and project stakeholders
Requirements
- Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school
- Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, or Animate
- Strong typography, layout, and visual hierarchy skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow project specs
- Portfolio or work samples required
Preferred Qualifications
- Language other than English
- Social media asset creation experience
- Accessibility design knowledge
- Illustration experience
- Interest in public service and good government advocacy
