Grants Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of grant administration, including research, application development, award management, and closeout processes
• Identify and evaluate funding opportunities aligned with agency priorities
• Prepare and coordinate grant applications ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Oversee post-award activities including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and reimbursement processes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact with funding agencies
• Represent the agency during grantor reviews, audits, and monitoring activities
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to funding agencies and agency leadership
• Collaborate with City departments including Central Finance and Procurement
• Provide strategic guidance to law enforcement executives regarding funding and risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in grant management
• Experience managing federal and/or state grants
• Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 compliance
• Knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards
• Knowledge of municipal finance and budgeting processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a government or law enforcement environment
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Justice funding programs
