About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support award facilitation by providing budget negotiation services and preparing award documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between Grants Officers, Program Officers, and grantees during pre-award, post-award, and closeout phases.
  • Assist in the development and management of awards, including goals and evaluation schedules.
  • Facilitate grantee access to the SAMS Domestic System and payment authorizations in the Payment Management System.
  • Perform final reviews of completed awards, making necessary adjustments or disallowances.
  • Calculate indirect costs and prepare award amendments based on approved allowable costs.
  • Manage the grant closeout process, including preparing closing cover letters, checklists, and clearing documents.
  • Reconcile obligation balances across PMS, SAMS Domestic, and GFMS systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in grants analysis or management.
  • Proven experience managing and auditing grants, including performing grant closings.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Assistance regulations, policies, and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Power BI.
  • Ability to analyze program data and evaluate written documents for award negotiations.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (with ability to upgrade to Top Secret if required).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of GAAP, OMB Circular A-133, or 2 CFR 200 standards.
