About the role
Responsibilities
- Support award facilitation by providing budget negotiation services and preparing award documentation.
- Coordinate communication between Grants Officers, Program Officers, and grantees during pre-award, post-award, and closeout phases.
- Assist in the development and management of awards, including goals and evaluation schedules.
- Facilitate grantee access to the SAMS Domestic System and payment authorizations in the Payment Management System.
- Perform final reviews of completed awards, making necessary adjustments or disallowances.
- Calculate indirect costs and prepare award amendments based on approved allowable costs.
- Manage the grant closeout process, including preparing closing cover letters, checklists, and clearing documents.
- Reconcile obligation balances across PMS, SAMS Domestic, and GFMS systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in grants analysis or management.
- Proven experience managing and auditing grants, including performing grant closings.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Assistance regulations, policies, and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Power BI.
- Ability to analyze program data and evaluate written documents for award negotiations.
- BA/BS degree.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (with ability to upgrade to Top Secret if required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GAAP, OMB Circular A-133, or 2 CFR 200 standards.
