Grant Writer

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting and submission of grants across NIH, NSF, DoD, ARPA-H, and related agencies
• Translate technical work into clear, compelling, fundable proposals
• Manage the full grant lifecycle including opportunity identification, writing, submission, and reporting
• Work with leadership and technical teams to shape specific aims, technical narratives, and budgets
• Help structure research roadmaps around grantable workstreams
• Maintain a pipeline of upcoming non-dilutive funding opportunities

Requirements

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field
• Strong experience writing or supporting successful NIH, NSF, DoD, or equivalent federal grant submissions
• Excellent scientific and technical writing skills
• Ability to communicate complex work across AI, neurotechnology, and medical devices
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in neurotechnology, BCI, computational neuroscience, or medical devices
• Familiarity with SBIR/STTR, R01/R21, or defense-related funding mechanisms
• Experience working with startup founders or technical R&D teams
• Experience with grant reporting and compliance documentation
