About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of research grants and contracts, from identifying funding opportunities to post-award management and final closeout.
- Serve as a liaison to faculty and professional staff to develop proposal concepts and submit applications to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Provide technical assistance to fund seekers regarding grant award acquisition, renewals, and collaborations.
- Assist faculty in identifying organizations for collaboration to secure extramural funding for instruction, research, and service.
- Facilitate training for faculty and staff on institutional, governmental, and funding agency policies and regulations.
- Monitor budget expenditures to ensure allowability, allocability, and reasonableness according to sponsor and institutional guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of technical, financial, and administrative reports required for grant closeout.
- Provide oversight of Title III, FUTURE, and other grant-funded initiatives to ensure compliance and alignment with institutional priorities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of grant administration experience working with projects funded by federal, state, or local government.
- Knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain compliance while providing high-quality service to faculty researchers and professional staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation.
