Grant Administrator for Land-Grant Programs

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary departmental liaison to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) for all pre-award activities.
• Coordinate and manage the proposal development and submission process, including timelines and document assembly.
• Assist faculty in identifying funding opportunities and interpreting funding announcements.
• Develop, review, and revise grant and contract budgets and budget justifications.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, sponsor, and university regulations, specifically Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
• Prepare subrecipient commitment forms, cost-share documentation, and other required pre-award materials.
• Provide training and technical assistance to faculty and staff regarding proposals, budgets, and requisitions.
• Maintain internal tracking systems for proposals, deadlines, and award statuses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and federal grant regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience in grants administration, research administration, or sponsored programs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and firm deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience with USDA/NIFA funding or other federal sponsors.
• Proven experience in progressive research administration roles.
