About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform accounting tasks for sponsored programs in compliance with Division of Business and Finance requirements
- Develop timelines for invoice preparation and submission
- Monitor grant budgets and send spending alerts to program directors
- Assist in tracking time and effort reporting and managing due date notifications
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including the closeout process
- Perform G/L accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Review and approve spending, requisitions, and travel requests for sponsored programs
- Communicate with principal investigators and grantor agencies regarding program issues
- Maintain logs for all drawdowns and perform monthly reconciliations
- Work with Sponsored Programs and Research offices to track awarded grants and develop databases
Requirements
- Experience with G/L accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Strong budget management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High level of technology proficiency
