Grain Origination Representative

Responsibilities

• Identify potential customers and manage existing customer relationships through face-to-face and remote sales.
• Position commodity offers competitively in local cash markets to source grains and oilseeds efficiently.
• Conduct market research, pricing, sales, and merchandising activities to maximize profitability.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to suggest appropriate marketing solutions.
• Promote advisory services and disseminate information regarding the organization's products and services.
• Solve moderately complex issues independently while escalating more complex matters to appropriate staff.

Requirements

• Diploma, Certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (typically 3 years or more).
• Valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s Licence in good standing.
• Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.
• Ability to travel to cover the assigned area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interest in the agriculture industry.
• CCA certification or the ability to obtain one.
• Previous experience in sales roles.
• Experience utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software.
