Grain and Oilseed Trader

Responsibilities

• National and international trade and marketing of bread and fodder grain
• Managing a trading book with P&L responsibility and hedging on commodity futures markets
• Intensive support of assigned customers and suppliers and proactive market development
• Close coordination with regional grain recording managers and supporting grain purchasing with market and price information
• Proactive participation in trader meetings, international S&D meetings, and creation of market analyses
• Contract management in cooperation with commodity disposition

Requirements

• Degree in economics, agricultural sciences, or completed commercial vocational training
• Several years of experience in grain trading preferred (career changers from food industry or banking welcome)
• Basic knowledge of commodity flows within the EU and global markets
• Knowledge of common contract forms (e.g., EHB, DNV, Incograin)
• Experience in creating market analyses and S&Ds
• Strong customer orientation, communication skills, and negotiation skills
• Analytical thinking and proficiency in MS Office
• Good German and English skills
