Graduate Trainee, Risk

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational, market, and credit risks
• Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and controls
• Analyze market risk exposures through stress testing and scenario analysis
• Monitor daily market risk reports and assist in the development of risk models
• Support the management of clearing risk exposures and collateral requirements
• Conduct credit risk assessments and analyze the creditworthiness of counterparties
• Assist in the assessment of risks associated with mergers, acquisitions, and business changes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk governance frameworks

Requirements

• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative subject
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macros
• Experience with data analytics and quantitative research methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and perform under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or SQL
• Basic understanding of financial markets and instruments
• Knowledge of working in a regulated environment and associated risk/compliance requirements
