About the role

Responsibilities

  • Transition from a student to a confident and competent clinical practitioner through a 12-month structured program
  • Engage in diverse clinical rotations across acute, sub-acute, or specialty areas depending on your chosen stream
  • Participate in group and site-based orientation days to integrate into the Epworth community
  • Collaborate with a multi-tiered support team, including ward-based educators, preceptors, and clinical specialists
  • Maintain high-quality nursing or midwifery care while adhering to best practice standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing or Midwifery (on track to complete by the start of the program)
  • Eligibility for AHPRA registration by the program commencement date
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or a valid working visa with unrestricted rights to work in Australia
  • Ability to provide clinical placement reports and academic transcripts
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional patient experience and a commitment to continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to act as a positive role model and inspire others through professional conduct
  • Previous clinical placement experience in relevant specialty areas
