Responsibilities

  • Attend two class lectures per week
  • Hold regular weekly office hours and remain available via email for student inquiries
  • Assist with general course preparation and administrative tasks
  • Grade all assignments in a timely manner and maintain accurate student records
  • Attend regular meetings with the course instructor
  • Assist in final grading and end-of-term assessments

Requirements

  • Current University of Michigan graduate student in good standing
  • Minimum registration of 5-6 credit hours (subject to faculty advisor approval)
  • Prior coursework and/or familiarity with Judaic Studies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior GSI experience within the College of LSA
  • Enrollment in an LSA graduate program
  • Relevant graduate training in a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student body
  • Strong overall academic performance
