Graduate Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software access across the Elwood technology stack
• Work with business stakeholders to build new and maintain existing features
• Meet deadlines in support of a fast-moving release cycle
• Leverage new technologies and approaches with continuous improvement in mind
• Work closely with Quants, Product, Algo Developers, Infrastructure and Support teams to deliver trading solutions
• Contribute to all areas of software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, automated testing, and maintenance

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM discipline
• 6 to 18 months experience as a Software Engineer (including internships or placement years)
• Programming experience in C#, C++, Java, Python, Golang, or Rust
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including design, algorithms, and data structures
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for FinTech and interest in the Crypto / Digital Assets space

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within financial markets
• Understanding of a portfolio, execution, or order management system
