About the role

Responsibilities

  • Recruit a dynamic class of law students through in-person events, campus tours, and virtual engagement.
  • Effectively communicate the strengths of the McGeorge legal education to prospective students, prelaw advisers, and faculty.
  • Present to various college-level classes and student organizations.
  • Support the JD Admissions Office with mailings, communication editing, and administrative duties.
  • Manage social media content production and engagement for the department.
  • Conduct research projects and provide follow-up written correspondence to prospective applicants.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree (May 2026 McGeorge graduate preferred).
  • Experience working with law school departments and student organization leadership.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive for University business.
  • Ability to perform in-person recruitment, including standing for long periods and giving campus tours.
  • Willingness to relocate within California, preferably near the Sacramento campus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability and interest in traveling outside of the state.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and student-centered approach.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
