Graduate Program Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with graduate program admission and administration, including coordinating admissions, enrollment, and awards processes
• Provide detailed information and advising to graduate students regarding program requirements, academic issues, and university policies
• Maintain accurate student records, course information, and marks within student information systems
• Coordinate program logistics such as timetabling, room assignments, and maintaining academic calendars
• Manage event logistics, including determining activities, scheduling, and performing event set-up and close-off
• Collate and organize data to prepare and analyze statistical reports
• Respond to inquiries from students and faculty, redirecting them as appropriate to ensure efficient service

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years of recent academic administrative experience supporting complex student-related programs
• Experience advising graduate students from diverse backgrounds on academic and personal issues
• Proven experience working with databases and preparing statistical reports
• Proficiency with ROSI, Slate, SGS Progress Tracker, and SharePoint
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with faculty, staff, and students

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer science programs and courses
