About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with graduate program admission and administration, including coordinating admissions, enrollment, and awards processes
- Provide detailed information and advising to graduate students regarding program requirements, academic issues, and university policies
- Maintain accurate student records, course information, and marks within student information systems
- Coordinate program logistics such as timetabling, room assignments, and maintaining academic calendars
- Manage event logistics, including determining activities, scheduling, and performing event set-up and close-off
- Collate and organize data to prepare and analyze statistical reports
- Respond to inquiries from students and faculty, redirecting them as appropriate to ensure efficient service
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of recent academic administrative experience supporting complex student-related programs
- Experience advising graduate students from diverse backgrounds on academic and personal issues
- Proven experience working with databases and preparing statistical reports
- Proficiency with ROSI, Slate, SGS Progress Tracker, and SharePoint
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with faculty, staff, and students
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer science programs and courses
