Graduate Overlay Draftsperson

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of event overlay and infrastructure for the Australian Open and lead-in events
• Produce and maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings in line with established drafting standards
• Coordinate drawing updates with internal stakeholders to ensure all requirements are reflected in plans
• Conduct site visits and assist with surveys to validate design accuracy against site conditions
• Ensure all drawings are current, compliant, and delivered within project timelines
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes, tools, and documentation standards

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, including layers, blocks, and X-referencing
• Solid understanding of drafting standards and documentation practices
• High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality drawings
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to hold (or obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a large-scale event or sporting environment
• Ability to work flexibly regarding hours in relation to event requirements
