About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the ophthalmology ACGME-accredited program, managing operational, accreditation, and administrative functions.
  • Act as the GME Data Analyst, maintaining comprehensive records for residents and fellows, including training milestones, licensure, and evaluations.
  • Manage the residency management system (New Innovations), creating custom reports, dashboards, and evaluation workflows.
  • Oversee recruitment strategies, including interview scheduling and candidate communications.
  • Manage program timelines and documentation for ACGME and institutional reviews, site visits, and reporting cycles.
  • Coordinate program budgets, purchasing, and reimbursements while ensuring fiscal compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison between trainees, faculty, and institutional offices regarding policies and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience in Graduate Medical Education, an academic medical center, or a related healthcare education setting.
  • Advanced proficiency with educational management software and data reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging high-level stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities regarding technical issues and complex logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in GME or higher education.
  • In-depth knowledge of ACGME accreditation processes and GME program requirements.
  • Experience in fiscal tracking, budget reconciliation, or financial administration related to program operations.
