About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment and admissions operations for various biomedical science programs, including PIBS and MEDPREP.
  • Execute recruitment and outreach strategies by representing Michigan Medicine at undergraduate institutions, fairs, and conferences.
  • Coordinate all aspects of event management, including interview weekends, recruitment trips, travel logistics, and vendor relations.
  • Oversee the application process, track admissions decisions, and maintain applicant evaluation systems.
  • Develop and implement communication plans across social media, webinars, and email to engage prospective students.
  • Collaborate with internal university units to streamline recruitment processes and implement strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in higher education administration, student recruitment, or admissions.
  • Willingness to travel for recruitment purposes.
  • Availability to be on-call 24/7 during recruitment events and interview weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in graduate student recruitment and admissions, specifically within STEM fields.
  • Proven success in recruiting underrepresented student populations.
  • Working knowledge of University and Rackham policies and procedures.
  • Experience using University reporting tools and managing applicant evaluation systems.
