Graduate Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct systems analysis to derive function, performance, and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters
• Engage in system design activities and trade studies to ensure electrical design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product
• Perform technical risk analysis to support the development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions
• Ensure assigned electrical systems and sub-systems are developed and implemented according to appropriate standards and procedures
• Review and support the approval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
• Liaise with stakeholders, including the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Defence Force personnel, and sub-contractors

Requirements

• Tertiary Qualification in a relevant electrical engineering discipline
• Knowledge of electrical design and design changes
• Familiarity with AS3000 Wiring Rules
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security clearance
• Ability to travel when required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in engineering practices such as Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation
• Experience in product configuration control
• Experience in Military Standard electrical component or subsystem selection and procurement
