Graduate Civil Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering design, calculations, and data analysis under the supervision of experienced engineers
• Create designs, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
• Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems
• Collect and analyze data to support project objectives
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules

Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required for visiting project sites and client offices

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of FRA, DOT, AREMA, and local railroad/transit criteria
• Familiarity with track, station, and layover facility designs
• Familiarity with FHWA National Bridge Inspection Standards
• Experience in roadway or track design and/or construction management
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or Microstation
