Graduate Assistant, Valiant Launch Program

Responsibilities

• Support the Valiant Launch Program through program development, event coordination, or administrative operations.
• Assist in the design and coordination of workshops and training materials for Learning Specialists.
• Research best practices regarding learning strategies, executive function training, and neurodiversity-affirming supports.
• Help plan and support student group meetings, social activities, and campus events to promote community-building and independence.
• Assist in the research and development of a peer mentor model and support the training and oversight of mentors.
• Implement program evaluation strategies to assess the effectiveness of the program.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in the Manhattanville School of Education.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with students with disabilities or neurodiverse populations.
