Graduate Assistant, Student Wellness Center

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and program support activities to assist in the efficient operation of the Student Wellness Center.
• Support clinical staff, including Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, in assisting students and managing service flow.
• Promote peer leadership and involvement in mental health and wellbeing training initiatives.
• Participate in triage and scheduling for students seeking services and resources.
• Develop and execute marketing and advertising for programs, including social media promotion.
• Assist with data collection, entry, and documentation for quality improvement measures.
• Participate in departmental and committee meetings for program planning and development.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled and maintaining satisfactory progress in a graduate program at Lewis University.
• Must have an official transcript on file with the Office of Admissions.
• Must meet Lewis University’s employment and graduate assistant eligibility requirements.
• Ability to be a self-motivated, independent problem-solver.
• Ability to conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S.N., B.A. in Healthcare Leadership, B.A. in Social Work, B.S. in Exercise Science, or M.S. in Mental Health/School Counseling.
• Currently seeking an M.S.N., M.S.W., M.S. in Exercise Science, or M.S. in Health Information Management.
• Experience with wellness program planning, marketing, and implementation.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications.
• Experience with basic graphic design (e.g., Canva) and social media management (e.g., Instagram).

Benefits

• Annual base pay of $7,000.
• 75% graduate tuition coverage.
