Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the operations and programming of Brother Mike’s, the campus bar, including inventory management, financial reporting, and facility oversight.
• Assist with the planning and execution of New Student Orientation, including Fall Welcome and Spring Orientation training.
• Supervise and train student staff, including bartenders and event interns.
• Provide support for student organizations through event advising and workshop development.
• Coordinate major campus programs such as Family Weekend and the Spring Activities Fair.
• Commit to 30 hours per week, including required evening and weekend hours (specifically Thursday nights).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Currently enrolled in a Master's Program (Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education, Social Work, or related fields).
• Experience or strong interest in campus event management, leadership development, and student advisement.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written, oral, and electronic).
• Ability to demonstrate integrity, initiative, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Benefits

• Hourly pay of $22.84 (based on 15 weekly hours).
• Furnished on-campus apartment (estimated value of $13,000 including rent and utilities).
• Meal plan consisting of 90 meal swipes per semester.
