About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary media contact for assigned athletic sports
  • Generate press releases, event recaps, feature stories, and related digital content
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain a consistent social media presence for athletics
  • Maintain team information and content on official websites and physical archives
  • Produce various publications, including record books and game programs
  • Execute game day responsibilities such as public address, clock management, scoreboard operations, and music

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Confirmed acceptance into a graduate studies program at Franklin Pierce University
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Experience with website content management systems (e.g., SIDEARM, PrestoSports)
  • Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., PrestoSports, StatCrew, NCAA Live Stats)
  • Skills in sports photography, videography, and editing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in intercollegiate athletics
