About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage student staff matters including hiring, training, staff evaluations, and payroll
- Mentor Building Supervisors and RWC staff to manage day-to-day operations and events
- Administer staffing policies and procedures effectively and respectfully
- Oversee staff scheduling and onboarding using platforms such as WhenToWork and Fusion
- Serve as a liaison between student staff and professional staff
- Develop new training techniques and ideas to support peer development
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Recreation, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of experience in recreation or fitness center programming and operations
- Previous experience in a management or supervisory position
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Ability to support and promote the University's mission
