Graduate Assistant – Intramural Sports Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, coordination, and administration of the intramural sports program, including leagues, tournaments, and special events
• Manage day-to-day operations such as scheduling, facility reservations, equipment setup, and site supervision
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise student officials and game staff
• Manage participant registration, eligibility verification, and league standings using management software
• Serve as a primary point of contact for participants, captains, officials, and campus partners
• Enforce intramural policies, procedures, and sportsmanship standards
• Support promotional efforts to market intramural offerings and enhance student engagement
• Assist with administrative duties including record keeping, data tracking, and reporting

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
• Confirmed acceptance into the Bryant University Graduate School
• Availability to work nights and weekends to accommodate programming schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in intramural sports, recreational sports, or event management
• Knowledge of intramural sport rules, officiating, and scheduling practices
• Experience supervising student employees or officials
• Strong organizational, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
