Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications

Responsibilities

• Assist with game day operations, including serving as an official statistician for NCAA contests, video streaming, and scoreboard operations.
• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, game recaps, and student-athlete features following AP writing style.
• Create digital and print graphics and video content using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Manage and oversee team social media channels across platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Maintain the athletic website (GoValiants.com) by updating news, rosters, schedules, and statistics.
• Supervise student workers and collaborate with coaches, administrators, and athletic staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Admission to a Manhattanville University graduate program.
• Experience in collegiate sports information or a related athletic environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Premiere).
• Knowledge of AP writing style and strong communication skills.
• Experience with statistical programs (e.g., StatCrew, PrestoStats) and athletic website services.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
