About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with game day operations, including serving as an official statistician for NCAA contests, video streaming, and scoreboard operations.
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, game recaps, and student-athlete features following AP writing style.
- Create digital and print graphics and video content using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage and oversee team social media channels across platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Maintain the athletic website (GoValiants.com) by updating news, rosters, schedules, and statistics.
- Supervise student workers and collaborate with coaches, administrators, and athletic staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Admission to a Manhattanville University graduate program.
- Experience in collegiate sports information or a related athletic environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Premiere).
- Knowledge of AP writing style and strong communication skills.
- Experience with statistical programs (e.g., StatCrew, PrestoStats) and athletic website services.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
