Graduate Assistant Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in the management and administration of the sports program and team
• Instruct student-athletes during practice sessions, workouts, and athletic events
• Support recruiting efforts by contacting prospective athletes and maintaining identification databases
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress, including tutoring and study hall enforcement
• Assist with the organization of camps, clinics, and community service efforts
• Attend professional development seminars and conferences to enhance instruction skills

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Acceptance into a qualified Nelson University graduate program
• Alignment with Nelson University expectations regarding faith, service, and lifestyle
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous playing experience or student assistant experience in the respective sport
• Ability to scout opponents and analyze game film for instructional purposes
• Strong communication skills, including oral, written, and digital proficiency
