About the role
Responsibilities
- Program and coach strength and conditioning sessions for assigned teams and athletes
- Collaborate with coaches, sports medicine staff, and administrative personnel
- Manage data collection, including wellness surveys and performance testing
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of training facilities and equipment
- Assist the athletics department with game operations, events, and other necessary activities
- Ensure full compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and bylaws
- Motivate and communicate effectively with student-athletes and various campus stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Admission to Manhattanville University's graduate program
- SCCC and/or CSCS certification (or a scheduled test date)
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Collegiate or professional playing experience
- Valid US Driver's License
- Sport-specific knowledge and previous coaching or recruiting experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and travel
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and manage physical training setups
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic video knowledge
- Experience programming and coaching athletes of all ages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Benefits
- $5,000 annual stipend paid over 10 months
