Graduate Assistant Coach for Cross Country Track and Field

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the Cross Country and Track & Field program operations
• Recruit qualified student-athletes and coordinate on-campus recruiting visits
• Assist with practice implementation, game preparation, and individual player development
• Mentor student-athletes to support academic success and high retention/graduation rates
• Assist with fundraising, community service activities, and alumni/family relations
• Maintain compliance with all NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations
• Serve as a travel coordinator for team trips, including managing transportation and meals
• Assist with facility maintenance and the setup of sport-specific training aids

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Collegiate or professional playing experience
• Previous recruiting and coaching experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Sport-specific knowledge and ability to perform drills/demonstrate activities
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and strong interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic video knowledge for athletic analysis
• Experience monitoring and managing team social media accounts

Benefits

• $5,000 annual stipend paid over 10 months
